How is the benefit distributed?

The net revenues from the sale of electricity are shared between the partners. The Clatskanie PUD Board of Directors decides how the earning is distributed to the customers. Below is an example of what the average customer will save in a month due to the Co-Generation Benefit.

The end rate is $0.0355 per kWh, rather than $0.0395 - one of the lowest rates in the Nation!
Note: Rainier Customers must add $0.01 per kWh until acquisition cost is paid. Also customers inside city limits must add 5% Franchise Fee.

* The total cogeneration benefit for non-residential customers is $.004/kWh. This rate will be in effect until further notice. See example above.
* Due to the 2007 refinancing of the Wauna Cogeneration project, we are able to pass the savings on to the customers.
