Greg Booth,
General Manager
Greg Booth was appointed the General
Manager of Clatskanie People’s Utility in April 1998. He has over
30 years
of professional and managerial experience in the electric utility
industry in the Northwest, including positions with Bonneville Power
Administration, Port Angeles City Light and Tillamook PUD. He is a
graduate of Central Washington University, Centralia College and Toledo Wa. High School. He and his wife JoAnne
have two sons Brian &
Grant, of which they are
very proud of.
Joseph Taffe, Power Manager
Joe was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1949
and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ohio University in 1974 with a degree
in Interdisciplinary Studies. He has lived in the Northwest since
1978 working in the energy industry for over 26 years. He began in the
energy conservation and renewable
energy field, subsequently worked in planning and evaluation and in 1995
switched his focus to power operations, trading and management. He joined Clatskanie People’s Utility District as Power
Manager in January 2002. Joe and his wife Elaine and their dog Sunny
live in Clatskanie in a home built in 1908. They enjoy home improvement
and remodeling as well as landscaping, gardening, hiking, kayaking,
pottery, weaving and the many, excellent local events. Since
joining the PUD Joe composed and recorded the public power song,
"Owned By
The People We Serve."
Debbie
Throop, Finance and Accounting Manager
Debbie Throop is the Finance and
Accounting Manager at Clatskanie PUD. She moved here from Central
Lincoln PUD to expand her public power expertise. She has 27 years of
experience in the electric industry. She is also active in the
Clatskanie Chamber of Commerce and has served as chairperson for three
years. Debbie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in
Accounting and minor in Computer Science.
Dave Quinn, Operations Manager
Dave joined Clatskanie PUD as the Operations Manager in
2007 after 30 years with Cowlitz County PUD, where he served as an
Electrical Engineer and Operations Director. Dave graduated from
Oregon State University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Electrical Engineering and earned his Professional Electrical
Engineering License in 1982. Dave is experienced in all facets of
electric utility design and operation and is committed to excellence in
public service. As a life long Pacific Northwest resident, he and
his wife Sharol enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle including fishing,
hunting and camping.
Gail Rakitnich, Customer
Relations Manager
Gail comes to Clatskanie PUD with over
20 years of experience in accounting and Customer Service. She
enjoys spending time with her daughter, Jeniece and granddaughter,
Vivian. Gail has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration
with a minor in Accounting. Gail enjoys living in the Pacific
Northwest and takes every opportunity to experience the many outdoor activities the area has to offer.
Leo Quiachon, Project Manager
Leo has over 15 years of electrical
engineering experience in the public utility and private industries.
Prior to joining Clatskanie PUD, Leo's project management background
included power distribution and power generation projects for Cowlitz
PUD, Sid Richardson Carbon & Energy, Koch Industries and Weyerhaeuser.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and is a
Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer in the state of Oregon.
