explain to you what your responsibilities are, offer some suggestions,
and work up a line extension agreement on your costs. Contact

Line
Extension Policy for Individual, Subdividers, Commercial, and Industrial
Consumers
Individuals
A lump sum payment will be required in advance of
construction in the amount of the estimated non-recoverable cost of
construction to provide primary electric facilities to a new load. The
required payment may be modified by the PUD when it is determined by the
PUD that the new primary facilities will provide an improvement to the
operation and the reliability of the electrical system. Payment
arrangements may be available for customers with good credit ratings
according to our current credit and collections policy. If the new
primary facilities are to be installed underground, the individual will
provide the PUD with a right-of-way easement and an acceptable trench
and will backfill and restore all grounds after installation of the
primary facilities. If the new primary facilities are to be installed
overhead the individual will provide the PUD with a cleared right-of-way
easement for all overhead facilities.
Developers
and Subdividers
This section covers but is not limited to platted subdivision
tracts and lots, mobile home courts and multi-family dwellings.
In order to partially recover the costs of constructing
primary line extensions to or onto undeveloped property where there are
no consumers or load associated with such property, a lump sum payment
equal to 75% (seventy-five percent) of the total estimated cost, or 100%
(one hundred percent) of the non-recoverable cost of constructing such
line extensions will be required of the developer or subdivider before
such construction will be started. The new electric facilities shall be
installed underground with the developer providing the PUD with
rights-of-way easements and acceptable trenches and will backfill and
restore all grounds after installation of the primary facilities.
Commercial
A lump sum payment of 75% (seventy-five percent) of the total
estimated cost, or 100% (one hundred percent) of the non-recoverable
cost of constructing the electrical facilities will be required before
such construction will be started. The required payment may be modified
by the PUD when it is determined by the PUD that the new primary
facilities will provide an improvement to the operation and reliability
of the electrical system. If the new primary facilities are to be
installed underground, the Commercial customer will provide the PUD with
a right-of-way easement and an acceptable trench and will backfill and
restore all grounds after installation of the primary facilities. If the
new primary facilities are to be installed overhead the Commercial
customer will provide the PUD with a cleared right-of-way easement for
all overhead facilities.
