Clatskanie PUD’s Response to Article
The Daily
News of Longview, WA recently published an article and editorial
regarding the 2007 “investigation” of the PUD’s General Manager,
instigated by the former PUD Board President. This comes after The
Daily News received a copy of the investigative report last November
from what they term “an anonymous source.” It is important to note that
CPUD was fully cooperative in responding to The Daily News’ questions
and legitimate public information requests that have occurred since the
April 2007 conclusion of the investigation. The PUD Board and General
Manager consider the investigative report a confidential document and
have not and will not waive the confidentiality aspect or
attorney-client privilege associated with the “investigation.”
The Daily
News included quotes from the Board in their articles. The PUD would
like to take the opportunity to share the two response letters addressed
to The Daily News from the current CPUD Board of Directors in their
entirety. We would also like to share a memo from the consultant
hired to facilitate efforts improve morale and teamwork which had been
